Who is Empire Scuba?

To promote the sport of scuba diving in Malaysia, Empire Scuba collaborated with several reputable dive centers in Sabah, BORNEO. The goal of the alliance was to debunk common myths about this activity.

Empire Scuba forms communities providing support and marketing opportunities to dive centres throughout Sabah to raise awareness of them, their services and levels of service. Visitors to Empire Scuba website can provide reviews and recommendations on specified diving instructors and centres.

At the core of every diver is the heart of a conservationist. Our curiosity about the worlds beneath the waves and the creatures that inhabit them has drawn many generations of divers to scuba diving, and we inherit a tradition of protecting the environment that we enjoy every time we dive. We believe that we as scuba divers have a unique responsibility to be advocates of the ocean, and we strive to embody that mission in our everyday operations as a dive centre.

Many people look at the ocean as a blue impenetrable mass, far beyond our comprehension. Taking students and certified divers into the ocean to experience first hand is a powerful education tool to show that the ocean is neither scary nor impervious to human activity. Our mission is to educate and inspire a new generation of divers to take their part in protecting our oceans and wildlife.

We Explore

Many Malaysians are unaware of the diversity of underwater environments and marine-life in our own waters. In fact, the vast coral gardens just off our local beaches and islands are some of the most productive ecological communities in the ocean and home to hundreds of unique corals and animal species. Our boat trips to our marine park islands visit dive sites ranging from the rich coral gardens and reefs teeming with life. Whether you're interested in weaving through the garden of corals, photographing colorful nudibranchs, finding rays and moray eels in the reefs, or playing with curious coral fishes, Empire Scuba has a trip that will suit you. We also offer excursions to far off dive sites around the world. To help outfit you properly for your dive adventures, our centre is equiped with the industry's best selection of quality equipment used by the same dive professionals who teach our classes. We Educate

As student divers learn about and witness marine life, they realize its intrinsic value and importance as part of the global ecosystem. Courses offered by Empire Scuba are designed to increase awareness of issues threatening aquatic life, develop knowledge and appreciation of marine ecosystems, and stress proper interaction with the underwater environment. We offer courses for all levels of divers, from first-timers with no experience to professionals looking to continue their education. Our fun and free monthly Empire Scuba Club meetings are the perfect opportunity to expand your educational horizons with our distinguished guest speakers while having fun meeting other interesting people in the local dive community.

Given our position we feel it is our duty to promote environmental awareness and responsible behavior, embrace sustainable business practices, and actively pursue community and global stewardship efforts. We play an active role in community efforts to conserve and restore the environment. We're proud to be affiliated with fine organizations such as Sabah Parks, WWF Malaysia & Reef Check Malaysia, whom act to protect our local waters and beaches through restoration and monitoring efforts, political advocacy, and education.
